Keith Jolicoeur:
I am Keith Jolicoeur ATP, CRTS. I started my career working for a large Michigan based company, Wright & Filippis a Prosthetics & Orthotics and DME company. There I had the opportunity to work in different capacities and take on many responsibilities such as a delivery technician for DME and oxygen, warehouse personal, orthotic tech & soft goods fitter, wheelchair service technician of complex rehab. I eventually worked my way to become a RTS, a seating and mobility specialist. In 2003 I had an opportunity to work for United Seating & Mobility (now Numotion) in Springfield, MO. So, my wife, two kids & I packed up all our belongings and left our family and friends in Michigan for the show me state and Ozarks country.
Since moving to Missouri, I received my ATP certification in 2003 and continue to grow as a seating and mobility specialist of complex rehab technology providing custom power and manual wheelchairs, custom seating, gait trainers, walkers, standers, hygiene products, specialty beds, alternative drive and more. I currently sit on the board for NRRTS where we advocate for our clients and their families as well as our industry, provide educational opportunities and much more. I have served as a review chair and currently serve as an AT-Large Director.
It has been a very rewarding career for me as I have had the privilege to work with other professionals in the industry such as physicians, nurses, therapist, home health agencies and aids as well as other ATP’s, manufacture reps, service technicians and intake/billing specialist. They have all played a vital role in my development as an RTS over the years. The most rewarding part has been working with and helping families and their loved ones over the past 20+ years. My experience ranges from working with pediatrics as early as a few months old to geriatrics over a 100. Also helping individuals with involved physical challenges and neurological disorders such as ALS, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy as well as severe postural abnormalities using technology such as specialty controls and custom molded seating systems. Being a part of helping people overcome some of their daily challenges is what gives me fulfillment in my job. I am so fortunate to play such a vital role in their daily lives and working towards helping them with their independence.
I recently joined the Alliance Rehab and Medical Equipment team (September 2018) in Ozark, MO where I will be serving the southwest region of Missouri as well as Northern Arkansas. I am proud to be part of the Alliance team and to continue fostering the company philosophy of taking care of each client we have the privilege of serving!
